Look for pencils in the wholesale section of ebay. Even allowing for postage, they work out a lot less than you would pay elsewhere.

Actually, if you were looking at the Dixon Ticonderoga pencils at Sam’s Club, that’s $12 for a 36-pack, not $12 per pencil.
The Dixon Woodcase pencils are $1. 68 for a box of 12. The Office Impressions are $0. 63 for a box of 12.
You need to scroll down and read the product description to see how many come in a package for the price they’re quoting.
Note that the Sams Club prices all include shipping.
Staples also has pencils at reasonable prices, but they may charge for shipping. Their basic pencil is $3. 29 for a 48-pack.

officedepot has 144 pencils in a package or 72 in the cheaper ones. The cheap pencils aren’t great but for your use they are perfect. 3. 89 fpr 72 pencils is pretty cheap about 5 cents each so you need 14 packs for 54. 46 so shipping is free.

You can easily find a MIDI capable electric keyboard for $100. You shouldn’t have to pay more than that.

. . . pianos can often be had for free, though most of them require extensive work. Pianos can also easily cost six figures.
I consider the starting range for a keyboard “good enough to start learning on” at about $1000.

If you want to be really cheap, look on Craigslist. org in your area, or the local newspapers for old used piano’s.
Sometimes people will give them to you, or sell them for $50 or so, if you will take it away.
They’re almost always at least very out of tune or need work though.
You can pay anywhere from $25 – $25,000 for a piano, so that’s a very general question you’re asking.
A decent full-size weighted ELECTRONIC keyboard though, is NOT $100 like the above poster said!
The ones that are decent enough to actually learn proper piano are in the $550-1,000 range.
Yamaha and Casio both make excellent models, BUT they also make cheesy sub-standard models (that’s what the above poster is referring to) , so you need to make sure to get the FULL-SIZED, WEIGHTED keyboard from them!
The Casio P? -320 (Can’t remember exactly what follows the “P” – X? I forget) is an excellent electric piano.
